Sunday 8th January 2012 marked Paul's
100th programme of Sunday Afternoon Organ Music!
Programmes are an eclectic mix of individual organ pieces, movements
from larger scale works and transcriptions of works written for other
instruments or ensembles.
During the series Paul has performed the following major organ works in
their entirety:
Louis Vierne - Symphony no. 1 in D minor, Symphony no.
2 in E minor,
Symphony no. 4 in G minor,
Symphony no. 6 in B minor
Charles-Marie Widor - Symphony no. 5 in F minor, Symphony no. 6 in G minor,
Symphony no. 7 in A minor
Alexandre Guilmant - Sonata no. 1 in D minor
Joseph Jongen - Sonata Eroïca.
J.S. Bach - Trio Sonatas no. 1 in E flat BWV 525, no.
4 in E minor BWV 528, no. 5 in C BWV 529

He has also dedicated entire programmes to the music of J.S. Bach,
Marcel Dupré and living composers (in particular Paul Spicer, Naji Hakim
and David Briggs)
Paul's
series at Holy Trinity, Wordsley, began in September 2003, following the
ten-year series of Saturday lunchtime recitals at Cradley Heath.

 Sunday Afternoon Organ Music™
takes place on the first
Sunday of every month at 3.00pm and lasts for around 45 minutes.
A view of the organ console is usually projected onto a large screen at
the front of the church, giving excellent views of the performer.
Admission to the recitals is free. A retiring collection is taken to
defray printing costs and to assist in funding the care and maintenance
of the instrument.
Holy
Trinity Parish Church is situated in Stourbridge's historic
Glass Quarter.
It lies the A491 which runs between
Stourbridge and Kingswinford. The nearest railway station is Stourbridge
Town.
There is ample car parking on the car parks behind the church hall and
in front of the church gates.
